Jordan Ayew finished as Ghana’s top scorer in 2017 AFCON qualifiers

Aston Villa attacker Jordan Ayew finished as the top scorer for the Black Stars in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The 24-year-old was able to net three times to help Coach Avram Grant’s side top the group H of the qualifiers.

Ayew together with Angolan attacker Gelson, Moussa Limane of the Central Africa Republic, DR Congo forward Cédric Bakambu and Mohamed Zubya also from Libya were tied up with three goals each in the qualifiers.

Christian Atsu, Asamoah Gyan, David Accam, Frank Acheampong, Andre Ayew, John Boye, Jeffry Schlupp, Samuel Tetteh and Mubarak Wakaso all scored one goal each for the Black Stars in the qualifiers.

Algeria’s El Arabi Hillel Soudani finished as the top scorer in the qualifiers with goals.

The Black Stars will know their Group opponent for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on October 19 when the draw comes off in Cairo.
