Ghana striker Jordan Ayew will wear the number 8 jersey at Olympique Marseille for the upcoming season.
The 20-year-old wore the number 23 shirt last season but has decided to change it. .
"It was my number in the youth team. I like the number 8 but it is not jersey numbers that play football. It was free so I chose it," Ayew said.
Jordan has been linked with a move away from the club but new coach Elie Baup looks likely to feature the youngster in his plans.
