The man who signed Ghana international Jordan Ayew as the striker for English side Aston Villa has been sacked as the Black Stars attacker will work under a new boss following the firing of Tim Sherwood on Sunday.
Sherwood who took over as head coach of Aston Villa last February led them to the FA Cup final where they lost to Arsenal and also guided them to escape relegation last season.
But six defeats in the opening ten games of the league this season meant the club had to make a decision on the direction at which they were heading.
A 2-1 defeat at home to Swansea with Jordan Ayew getting his first goal of the season for the club looked to have been the final straw which broke the Camel’s back for Sherwood.
The club said in a statement: “The board believes the results on the pitch were simply not good enough and that a change is imperative.”
