Ghana football legend, Abedi Ayew Pele has described the transfers of his sons from the French Ligue 1 to the English Premier League as luckily coincidental.
The Maestro as he is referred to in Ghana sees the transfer of his two sons as partly luck and partly coincidental as they both signed to play in arguably the most popularly league in the world.
“Well I will say it is a combination of both luck and coincidence. It’s not easy to get both your sons move to play in the EPL.
“Andre was a free agent and Jordan was under contract. So when the call came for Andre to go into the EPL, I called them. I told them there is opportunity so let’s take. They also showed interest and went for it.
“Interestingly, that was my first time of acting as a manager that is why I said there was a bit of luck in the whole thing,” he said.
Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew will go into history as the first Ghanaian brothers to have played in the EPL at the same time.
