Asante Kotoko experienced midfielder Jordan Opoku says he expects their rivals to put up a real challenge for the Ghana Premier League title.
The Porcupine Warriors have been the best team on the domestic scene by a distance in the past three years, with three league titles and an FA Cup trophy.
But with the appointment of coach Herbert Addo by rivals Accra Hearts of Oak and the emergence of cash rich Kpando Hearts of Lions, Opoku is anticipating a tough task in retaining their crown.
“I still think we stand the best chance but in football you can never be too certain,” The Feyenoord academy product told GHANASoccernet.com.
“The league will be competitive and we must admit our rivals have strengthen so they will put up a challenge.
“What is most important is we find that chemistry that led us all the way last season.”
