Jukwa Secondary School honoured

Twifo Praso, (C/R) Feb. 27, GNA - The Twifo-Hemang-Lower Denkyira District Assembly on Monday honoured Jukwa Secondary School for emerging as the champions of the Central Region Inter School and Colleges soccer champions.

In appreciation of their achievement, the Assembly approved 10 million cedis to the School while Mrs Elizabeth Amoa Tetteh, Member of Parliament for Twifo Atii Morkwaa constituency also committed five million cedis out of her District Assembly Common Fund to the School towards its preparation to the National Milo Games. Jukwa Secondary School with this feat will join Gomoa Potsin T.I. Ahmadiyya Secondary School, the 2006 National Milo champions to represent the Region at the Milo Games scheduled for Sunyani in July 2007.

The donation was in response to an appeal made to the Assembly by Kwasi Owusu Boadi, for the Assembly member for Jukwa East electorate. Miss Regina Amam, Headmistress of the School thanked the Assembly and the Member of Parliament for their kind gesture.
