Kwamikrom (V/R), July 25, GNA - Kpando Gborfe Avetikofe F/C popularly known as G.A. United lost 1-2 against Kwamikrom Justice Stars in a friendly football match at Kwamikrom last Sunday.
The match started after a brief downpour, thus making the field pretty slippery and ball control difficult, however the visiting team who were determined to carry the day missed several scoring chances in the early parts of the game.
Against the run of play the home team took advantage of a defensive blunder to open the scores in the 25th minute through inside left Ibrahim Issa.
Inside right Solomon Hadzi of G.A. United however quickly equalised for his side five minutes later.
The two teams exhausted their substitutions after the game resumed for the second half but in the dying minutes of the game inside right George Gbloekpor of Justice Stars flicked the ball into the net of the visitors in a goal mouth melee to bring the final score to 2-1 in favour of Justice Stars.
Mr Ben Asemfita, the coach of Justice Stars in an interview with the GNA Sports after the match said he planned to groom the team to achieve higher professional laurels.
He said the club had played seven matches during the first six months of this year and scored 17 goals.
