Juventus offer Appiah to Atletico Madrid

Juventus have offered midfielder Stephen Appiah to Atletico Madrid.

Juve directors took advantage of their visit to Spain for this week's Champions League clash with Real Madrid to hold talks with Atletico over Ghana international Appiah.

The 20 year-old was offered to Atletico in part-exchange for defender Pablo Ibanez. However, the Spanish club insist Pablo is not for sale and would prefer to negotiate a stand-alone deal for Appiah.

Everton and Fiorentina are also among clubs to be chasing the Ghanaian youngster, who has a contract with Juve until 2008.
