KP Boateng sits out Schalke training

Ghana ace Kevin-Prince Boateng sat out Schalke 04’s training on Wednesday but the club are not fretting over his fitness.

Schalke head coach Jens Keller did not sound alarmed by the inability of the midfielder to join his teammates.

Reports say Boateng’s absence was a precautionary one and should be fit for their crucial trip to Freiburg on Saturday.

The 27-year-old has been key for Schalke this term having made 26 Bundesliga appearances and scored six goals.

The Royals Blues are in third place and hold a three-point advantage over Bayer Leverkusen for a chase to seal a Champions League spot.
