Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi says Ghana must forget about winning the Africa Cup of Nations title next month insisting the Black Stars have no quality players to win the trophy.

The Super Eagles coach said the Nations Cup in Gabon & Equatorial Guinea will be one of the toughest predicting that Senegal and Ivory Coast are the favourites.

Keshi based his prediction on the calibre of players to be paraded by the two West African countries and because of the quality and experience they have in their squads.

“I don’t think Ghana, Guinea or the two hosts will win the cup. A lot of people may be surprised that I mentioned Ghana among those who would not win the cup,” Keshi said

“I did so because the Ghanaian squad as presently composed do not have the quality of a champion like what the Ivorians and Senegalese boast.

“I tip Senegal and Cote d’Ivoire to reach the final if they can avoid each other but it is difficult to say who would win, but there will be one or two surprises from first timers like Niger or Botswana,” he stated.

Ghana will play Guinea, Mali and Botswana in Group D.
