Accra, Oct 3, GNA - Kwessben FC's offensive midfielder, Lanquaye Anum on Sunday picked up a horrific leg injury after colliding with Mighty Jets' Isaac Amadu Bodoug in the fifth week Premier League game at the El-wak stadium, Accra on Sunday.

Advancing Anum who ran into what was later judged as a bad tackle from Bodoug broke his right fibula in a manner that scared players of both sides as they all rushed in awe to assist the injured player. Helpless Anum who gnashed in visible pain was soon to be rushed in a mid-shift ambulance (private vehicle) to the 37-Military Hospital by club officials and some medics as there was no ambulance at the stadium.

With the players struggling to shrewd off their sight, the horrific scenes that saw all clutching their heads with disbelieve, Referee Laud Vuvor followed up by asking Bodoug to take an early shower. Players of Mighty Jets protested but their appeal fell on dead ears and when Bodoug finally exited, it was Kessben that got stronger with their numerical advantage.

Jets, however, managed to push a bitter pill down the throat of the League leaders by holding on to beat Kessben 2-1 to record their first victory in five games.

Jets' victory was made sweater especially because they played more than an hour of the game with a weak numerical strength even after referee Vuvor signaled for seven minutes of added on time. 03 Oct. 10
