GHANA'S number one goalkeeper, Richard 'Olele' Kingson has revealed to 90 MINUTES that contrary to comments that he will retire soon from international football, he is targeting the 2012 Cup of Nations as well as the 2014 World Cup in Brazil before hanging his gloves. Kingson, who was released by English Premier League side, Wigan Athletic at the end of last season, is racing against time to secure a club deal before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.
He says he is ready to man the posts for the Black Stars in all competitions and contends that he feels fresh and ready for new challenges with the senior national team.
“I want to win the Cup of Nations and play at the World Cup finals before even thinking of retirement. With the squad we have now and the young ones coming through, I believe we can achieve our target at the next Cup of Nations and equally do better at the 2014 World Cup, where I hope to play in the finals,” he added.
