Kofi Owusu is Player of the Month for July

Berekum Chelsea striker Kofi Owusu is the First Capital Plus Premier League Player of the Month for July.

Owusu was head and shoulders above his competitors after winning two man-of-the-match awards and scoring three goals.

His brace against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium helped his side to coast to famous 3-0 win over the defending champions.

Owusu fetched the consolation in their 2-1 defeat at Bechem United where he was adjudged Man of the Match.

He tallied 11 goals in the month of July.

He joins previous winners Gilbert Fiamenyo (January), Noah Martey (February), Nathaniel Asamoah (March), Bernard Ofori (May) and Zakaria Mumuni (June).
