Ivory Coast defender Kolo Toure has described the Black Stars as a team with so much promise and talent, adding that he believes the team will be a force to reckon with if given time.
“This is a team we all respect in Africa and they have proved themselves in this tournament. I think they did well and have a bright future because there are so many young players in the team”, Kolo mentioned after helping the Ivory Coast record a win over the Black Stars at the 2015 African Cup of Nations final in Equatorial Guinea.
“The players are sad and I can see them crying but they should not give up. This is just one of those moments in the life of every footballer and it’s an experience, but they did well I must say.”
For Kolo, Coach Avram Grant needs to keep the team together. “It’s a good unit both on and off the field, the players are of quality. So the coach must keep them together for the next tournament and I believe they will be fine”, Kolo Toure mentioned to Supersport’s Yaw Ampofo Ankrah.
