The Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has directed all persons who are in possession of the club's properties to return them immediately to the club's secretariat.

It also directed that, henceforth, all correspondence should be sent to the club's secretariat at Asomfo road at Adum, Kumasi.

These were contained in a statement read by the Chairman of the IMC, Mr Sylvester Asare-Owusu, after a maiden meeting at the club's secretariat in Kumasi on Wednesday.

He said Nana Yaw Owusu and Mr Joe Owusu-Ansah have been appointed as the interim Accra representatives of the club.

Mr Asare-Owusu said the IMC had a little time in view of the impending LG sponsored GHALCA Top Four Competition, African Cup and this year's Premier League, adding "the IMC is going to place more emphasis on action than talking".

He appealed to the players and supporters alike to give the IMC the needed co-operation to enable it discharge its duties.

Mr George Ayisi-Boateng, a member of the committee, appealed to the media especially the radio stations to crosscheck their facts before going on air in order to avoid creating tension among fans and supporters.

He said the football scene in the country seemed to be polarised due to the activities of some radio presenters and urged them to change their ways. Meanwhile, Mr Yaw Boafo, Secretary to the IMC, has refuted a news report attributed to him on Joy FM, alleging that Otumfuo wanted Kotoko to be run by only Asantes.

He said the IMC was saddened that a spin should be put on an interview granted to the radio station, adding that, "I never said and will never say that Otumfuo wants only Asantes to serve on the Kotoko management team".

Mr Boafo stated that, what he told the reporter was that Otumfuo wanted the club to be run from Kumasi where the secretariat was situated, adding that, some of the IMC members were non-Asantes.
