Mr. Javis Peprah, the public relation officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has stated that Kotoko will decide whether to help Ashgold to renovate the Len Clay stadium on thursday.
He said Mr Kudjoe Fianoo CEO of Ashgold FC informed him on phone that, the stadium may not be ready for the CAF organise matches due to limited resources to complete the renovation currently going on at the stadium.
Mr. Peprah said, formal request has been made to the GFA to help raise the status of the Len Clay stadium to CAF standard. He was hopeful something fruitful would come out of the request by Friday.
The request not- withstanding he said Kotoko would decide on the issue on Thursday when management meets. He stated "for now no decision has been taken on the issue of helping Ashgold to renovate the Len Clay sports stadium or NOT"
He stated this! on JET FM in Kumasi. He appealed to supporters of Kotoko not to predict huge score lines in their return encounter with Aigle Royal Menoua of Cameroun at Obuasi on 5th March 2006. He asked supporters to support the club in cash, kind and prayers.
In a related issue, the acting captain of Kotoko, Edmund Owusu Ansah promised supporters on the teams qualification come 5th March 2006.
