Mr. Kwabena Kesse, a board member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, addressed the public on the way forward for the team, after 15 premier division teams decided to boycott Kotoko.
Speaking on Kessben fm, he adviced the press to stop the rumours, because Kotoko is yet to get an official letter from GHALCA concerning that decision. He also said it is only Kotoko that knows the why they boycotted the top4.
He again advice the media to put a stop to the Charles Taylor transfer issue, because it is before the court, and assure the fabulous family that, until Hearts refund the C850 million, they have no percentage of Taylor?s transfer fee to Tunisia. A transfer fee of $90,000 has been deposited in a special account by the Tunisian club and a court is to determine if Hearts are entitled to 40%.
He also added that, the problem of Kotoko?s ridge training grounds has been resolved, and it has once again open for them. He debunked the rumor that, the team is going to have three weeks camping at Burkina Faso.
He said the club will this time around employ a local coach and the management will make sure that any one who get the nod will be treated like the foreign coaches.
He assured fans that, apart from Charles Taylor, who left, all the players will remain at the club, including Stephen Oduro who will join the team despite his trials with a South African club.
He concluded, by telling the supporters not to forget the kumapim motto because no one can destroy Kotoko.
In another development, B.A United has organized two friendly matches with the porcupines next week to announce that, they are the only team backing Kotoko.
