Asante Kotoko have denied pressure from the Asantehene to reinstate on-leave coach Mas-Usd Didi Dramani.
According to the communications director of the Porcupine Warriors, Kwaku Ahenkorah, no such order has been issued to the board and for that matter the coach is still enjoying his accumulated leave.
It has been a torrid season for the Ghana league champions after a run of poor form that left them with just eight points out of their opening eight games under the former national women’s coach.
“We have not received any communication from Manhyia telling management to bring Dramani back,” Ahenkorah told Kumasi-based Ultimate FM.
“In any case, management took the decision to ask Dramani to go on leave with consultation from Manhyia so why will they turn around and ask management to reinstate him?” Ahenkorah asked.
Rumours are rife former Hearts of Oak coach David Duncan is in line to succeed Dramani.
