Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko player Charles Taylor has launched yet another scathing attack on former Kotoko coach Hans Dieter Schmidt for the club’s defeat to Hearts of Oak in the 2004 Confederation Cup final.

It has been some 15 years since Taylor and his mates lost the ‘Virgin Cup’ to their rivals via a marathon penalty shootout.

Taylor, Kotoko’s kingpin and scorer of the club’s goal was pulled out by Dieter Schmidt in a very strange substitution that shocked the teeming supporters present at the Baba Yara stadium.

That singular decision has often been mentioned as the turning point in the game as the exit of Taylor who admitted to having a bad game allowed the Phobian to exert more authority on the game.

Charles Taylor has never hidden his disdain for the coach and he has taken another swipe at him.

According to Taylor, he was puzzled by the coach’s decision to take him off and blamed the defeat on him.

“If you have a white man who has eaten Africa food, it gets into his head. I’m sorry to be saying this but there was no sense in his head. Even after taking me out, he could have kept on Emba but because of the foolish things he did, we lost. He did so many unnecessary things.

“Everyone was asking why he took me out but later he apologized to me for doing it. If we the players had done the selection we would have won. He didn’t teach us anything, we did the work ourselves. I scored the goal myself”.

Taylor who is also aspiring to be a coach added that the coach should have been killed for his actions.

“They should have killed him. What he did was very nasty. We lost the cup because of that nasty decision he took.
