JOHANNESBURG, Feb 20 - Liberia's Mighty Blue Angels have been disqualified from the African Cup Winners' Cup for failing to complete the necessary paperwork on time.
The Angels, who were due to take part in continental club competition for the first time, failed to submit the licenses of their 25 squad players who were to be registered to compete.
They had been given an extended deadline of February 15, a Confederation of African Football statement said.
Angels were due to play Ghana's Asante Kotoko in the first round in April. The Ghanaian club were runners-up last year.
