Management has expressed its profound gratitude to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II barely 24 hours after the 3-1 win over Liberty Professionals on match day seven of the 2015/16 Premier League.

Managers of the club say, the Asantehene’s inspirational move which saw him paying an unannounced visit to the team at the Adako Jachie training field ahead of the match, spurred the Porcupines on against Liberty.

The team came from a goal down to score three times to record their second win this season.

Management believes that, the Asantehene’s visit played an important role in the triumph.

“We are highly grateful to Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II – the owner and life patron of the club for his visit; the encouragement he gave to the team. We so much appreciate it. We are also thankful to our teeming supporters for their presence and support,” Communications Manager, Kwaku Ahenkorah told Asantekotokosc.com.

Kotoko’s next game is an FA Cup – round of 32 fixture in the Upper West Region against Real 24 Hours FC this weekend. From there, the Porcupines will be away to Dreams FC at Dawu on match day eight of the Premier League.

Kotoko have moved from 16th position to 9th on the league table.
