Asante Kotoko signed a one-year sponsorship deal with soft drink Afri-Cola on Tuesday at the club’s secretariat in Kumasi.
The deal is reported to be in the value of US$ 14,000 (GHS 480,000).
“We have just concluded on everything and signed a year contract with Afri Cola and the deal will be worth cash and products,” Kotoko acting CEO Samuel Opoku Nti told Ghanasportsonline after the signing ceremony.
“It is a general sponsorship that will cover every aspect of the club as we also serve them what they want because we needed a sponsor and our fans need to start patronising their products so they build a warm relationship.”
Kotoko will be paid a monthly sum of GHS 40,000 and GHS 2,000 worth of products.
The Porcupine Warriors will be defending the league and FA Cup trophies won last season.
