Sportscrusader intelligence understands that, Kumasi Asante Kotoko could pull out of this year’s GHALCA TOP 4, scheduled for August 20th 2014.
The Ghana Champions are expected to travel to Spain for an organized pre-season tour and once the Spanish Embassy grants visas for their expected trip for pre-season camping, the club will not be available for the expected GHALCA TOP 4.
The Spanish Embassy has informed Kotoko to expect the visas next week but the Porcupine Warriors could opt to play in the Top 4 competition if the visas delay.
GHALCA announced yesterday that the Top 4 Competition, which was introduced in 2001 to help prepare clubs for African club competitions, will commence on the 20th of August 2014.
Sportscrusader gathered that the tournament was on the verge of collapse as there were no sponsors.
Defending Champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, if they abort their pre-season camp, will be competing against Kpando Hearts of Lions, Accra Hearts of Oak and Obuasi AshGold to determine who wins the ultimate.
