Hearts of Oak will go into their Ghana Premier League clash against Asante Kotoko in higher spirits following their win over Berekum Chelsea, ace broadcaster Kwabena Yeboah has said.
The veteran sports journalist and president of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) was, however, quick to add that Kotoko would be bent on making amends after losing 1-4 to Dwarfs in a mid-week clash.
“Kotoko and Hearts games, to a very large extent, are interesting. Hearts’ win against Chelsea will give them maximum confidence. Kotoko would have lost some bit of confidence because they drew with Bechem United and lost to Ebusua Dwarfs. I don’t remember the last time Kotoko lost massively to Ebusua Dwarfs, and again it gives Hearts some confidence, but on the day, because Kotoko will have no option than to put smiles back on the faces of their supporters, they will have to go the extra mile and see what happens. You know Kotoko and Hearts games are an entirely different ball game so, sometimes, the results have very little bearing; it’s a game on its own,” he told Class Sports.
