Asante Kotoko centre back Rashid Sumaila is optimistic that the Porcupine Warriors have what it takes to excel in the Caf Champions League.
The former African champions have been bundled out of the competition in the past two years by USM Bejaia and BYC of Liberia but the former Mamelodi Sundowns defender believes Kotoko can go all out.
“We need to work harder this year because it won't be easy in the Champions League and even domestically,” Sumaila told Goal Ghana.
“But with God everything is possible, we have what it takes to compete and excel in the Caf Champions League. We will put smiles on the face of our fans and Ghanaians.”
After winning the Ghanaian local league thrice in a row, Kotoko are determined to take the continent’s flagship inter-club tournament by storm and at least reach the money zone.
