Football administrator, Abbey Pobee in an interview with sportscrusader.com has mentioned that Ghana premier league side, Kumasi Asante Kotoko were wrong to ask coach, David Duncan to step aside.
Kotoko under Duncan has started the 2015/16 Ghana premier league season poorly for the first time in 15-years and the recent defeat in match week 6 to bogey side, Aduana Stars, saw the ex-Hearts of Oak coach, relieved off his coaching duties.
Pobee known for his hard-talk mentioned that Kotoko shouldn’t have sacked Duncan as it was too early in the season hit the panic button with just six matches played.
He said, “it’s getting too much with Kotoko quests of hiring and firing at will. Kotoko should have known better the calibre of coach they were appointing.”
He added, “it is not proper for Kotoko to ask Duncan step aside – Is that part of the contractural agreement? Did the contract have a performance based clause in there?
