Kpando Mulpo loses former chairman

Accra, Nov 11 - GNA - The death occurred at Kpando on Saturday, November 8 of Mr J.C. Osai, popularly known as "Uncle John," a businessman and one time chairman of Kpando Mulpo Football Club. He was 75.

The late Mr Osai was also a former constituency chairman of the defunct Progress Party and a philanthropist who awarded scholarships to many needy students in the Kpando district. He was a chief distributor of The New Times Corporations' stable papers as well.

He is survived by a wife and eight children, including Mr Julius Osai, National Chairman of Kpando Heart of Lions Supporters Club. Burial arrangements will be announced later.
