Mon, 7 Apr 2008 Source: --

Krachi Youth Academy were yesterday given a baptism of fire when they suffered a humiliating 4-1 home defeat in the hands of visiting Red Bull Soccer Academy in the second week fixture of the Volta Region second division soccer league match played at Anloga . It was the visitors who went into full action after Aflao based referee Lawrence Muladza had whistled for hostilities to begin and squandered four glorious chances in 2nd,3rd 6th and 8th minutes . Having been left of the hook, Krachi Youth Academy tightened their defense and gradually started making some incursions into the goal area of the visitors and had a chance to cause havoc in the 11th minute but Amin Ramadan wasted the begging chance.

Red Bull Academy then swarmed all over their opponent and got the opener in the 13th minute through Anass Alidu .

In the 24th minute, injured Thomas Acquaye of Krachi Youth Academy was substituted by Maxwell Fusese but the pattern of play did not change as the visitors continued to dominate the exchanges . In the 36th minute, Gilbert Fiamenyoh in a solo move went through the defense of Krachi Youth with ease and released a supersonic shot which goalkeeper Alex Kumi pushed into his net for the second goal for the visitors.

On resumption of the second half, Krachi Youth Academy made quick substitution bringing on Mark Addo for Robert Makunde while Red Bull Academy brought on Sulemana Zuberu for Kwame Frimpong. The substitute Zuberu announced his presence by scoring the third goal in the 57th minute when he was one minute in game. Joshua Otoo made it four a minute later.

Skipper Kwasi Asare had a consolation goal for Krachi Youth Academy in the 71st minute when capitalized on a defensive blunder by skipper Livingstone Logoh inside the vital box and shot to the blind side of goalkeeper David Dadzie .
