Kuffour testimonial launch postponed

Organisers of the Sammy Kuffour testimonial have shifted the event to next Monday to enable the former Bayern Munich star to pay homage to Asantehere Otumfour Osei Tutu II in Kumasi on Friday.

Kuffour is set to bow out officially from a hugely successful football career in a testimonial game on December 23, 2011, at the Baba Yara Stadium in his home city of Kumasi, with many big names in African and world football, such as Samuel Eto'o, Oliver Khan and Andy Cole, billed to attend.

The event was set to be officially launchd in Kumasi on Wednesday but will now take place next Monday after the player has had audience with the Asantehene in Kumasi on Friday.
