Ghana's Olympic team offensive midfielder, Bernard Yao Kumordzi is dreaming of a UEFA CUP title glory after his side Pannions beat French league 1 side Sochaux 2-0 in an away UEFA CUP knockout league game.

Speaking to allghanasoccer.com,Kumordzi says ’It is very early but everybody needs to dream especially to dream big and hope it comes to pass. Nobody especially the Greek people

thought we could beat a French league 1 side away but we did it, which means in football anything can happen’ .

Panionios out-played Sochaux in their own backyard in a match Kumordzi played the full 90 minutes.

’I want to repeat the performance I put up in France this season to see Panionios through and also convince Black star coach Claude Le Roy that I can compete at the highest level of football. Kumordzi opined.

Kumordzi has so far played only a game for Panionios in the Greek super

league; a game Panions won 2-0 away against Kofi Amponsah's Kalamaria. Kumordzi’s absence was due the fact he was serving a 2 match suspension, received 7 yellow cards last season. Panionios are currently third in the Greek league. Kumordzi's club will clash with league leaders AEK Athens after the UEFA cup game against Sochaux. A win for Panionios will put them ahead of the 3 biggest clubs in Greece namely, Olympiakos, AEK Athens and Paniathiniakos.

The young Ghanaian midfielder also spoke on his prospects and believes he can go places if he keeps his cool. ‘I want to see myself in one of the top 20 clubs in Europe next season or two, and I am working very hard for this since it is very competitive to play at the highest level in European football’. Kumordzi said. When asked his opinion about the next Olympic Games qualifier against South Africa, Kumordzi stated categorically that,"South Africa can shut our dream of going to the Olympic games next year, so we have to take the game as

serious as the one we will play against mighty Nigeria. A little mistake against South Africa can jeopardize our chances of qualifying ". Kumordzi also suggested for motivation for the team. ‘I think the GFA must motivate the players so they will have no excuses especially in the remaining 2 games"

Kumordzi will travel to Ghana after his club’s game against AEK Athens in the Greek League this Sunday.
