Manchester United are believed to be Udinese midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah's first choice destination this summer.
Inter Milan and Juventus are interested in the Ghana international midfielder who was a key figure in helping the Stadio Friuli club finish third in Serie A last season and qualify for the Champions League.
Udinese remain a selling club and know that they can make a significant profit on the 23-year-old who they signed from relative obscurity at Swiss minnows Bellinzona.
Asamoah would prefer a switch to United over the other reported interest and the Red Devils have scouted Udinese players extensively over the past two years but Sir Alex Ferguson's level of interest remains a doubt.
United will hope to have Anderson and Darren Fletcher fully fit for the start of next season but if they are still weeks away from match sharpness the Reds boss could sanction a swoop for the £10million-rated Asamoah.
