Andre Dede Ayew has proven that he deserves his place in the Ghana national team, according to former striker of the Black Stars and uncle of the lad Kwame Ayew.
Mr. Ayew has told SportsInGhana.com that Dede has grown to become an all-round footballer compared to when he first featured for the national team during the 2008 Nations’ Cup on home soil. “He was growing then and its been two years and in football you grow on a daily basis.
"He has improved very well and is proving that he is not in the national team because of his father or his uncle. His tackling is superb and he is playing on merit,” Kwame Ayew told SportsInGhana.com after watching Dede put up man-of-the-match performances in Ghana ’s 1-0 win over Serbia and 1-1 draw with Australia respectively.
Africa’s first ever win at the first World Cup to be played on the continent was achieved by the Black Stars based on supreme tactical play with every single player dropping back to help in defence when necessary.
Ayew has praised them and says they should do more and glory will be Ghana ’s. “I think the whole team are doing very well and the only thing they can do is to improve on this performance. Ghana has once again proven that we always take the lead in soccer in Africa .
"I am really grateful to God and all those who prayed for them to win. Even if we don’t win the cup, the results so far are enough to prove our pedigree,” the now Pastor Kwame Ayew told SportsInGhana.com.
