Kwame Ayew donates to GHANASCO

Tamale, Feb. 7, (Caesar), GNA - Kwame Ayew, a former Ghanaian International Football Star and a younger brother of the maestro, Abedi Pele Ayew on Monday presented four sets of jerseys, ten footballs and gloves worth about 250 million cedis to the authorities of the Ghana Secondary School (GHANASCO) in Tamale to enhance sporting activities in the school.

Mr Alala Mohammed an "Old Boy" of the school presented the items on behalf of Ayew who is a past student of the school. Mr Mohammed said the presentation was to motivate students of the school to excel in sporting activities, particularly soccer and win laurels for the region.

He said there were hidden talents in the schools in the northern sector and expressed the hope that the items were not only going to help GHANASCO to improve in sports, but they would also help promote soccer competitions among schools in the region.

Mr Mohammed, on behalf of Ayew pledged to donate computers and their accessories to the school to equip the computer laboratory to enhance learning in the school.

Mr Justin Dakorah, Headmaster of the school who received the items expressed gratitude to Kwame Ayew for making a third donation to the school and called on others to emulate him. He assured the donor that the students would use the items meaningfully and that "One day some of them would become Kwame and Abedi Ayews."
