Kwarasey arrives for Black Stars AFCON qualifier

US-based goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey has arrived for the Black Stars Cup of Nations qualifier against Mozambique.

Kwarasey who was included in the squad as one of the three invited goalkeepers touched down in the country on Monday morning.

The Portland Timbers goalkeeper is expected to join his colleagues when they hold their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium this afternoon.

The 27-year-old is making a return to the team after almost two years of excusing himself from the squad due to an alleged rift with goalkeepers trainer Nasamu Yakubu.

He is expected to compete with Spain-based Razak Brimah who has occupied the number one spot for the past one year as well as WA All Stars Richard Ofori for a starting place in Thursday’s game at the Accra Sports Stadium.
