Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey remains undecided but hopes his return to the Ghana national team is resolved soon.

The new Portland Timbers signing opted against joining the Black Stars team for the 2015 Afcon to get acquainted with his new environment amid his unresolved issues with a member of the Ghana technical staff.

“I decided to stay here because I've just signed with the Timbers and it would be good to get to know the guys as early as possible,” the ex-Stromsgodset shot-stopper told OregonLive.

Kwarasey has refused to feature for the Black Stars since his opening-game appearance at the 2014 Fifa World Cup against the USA. He, following the Ghana World Cup exit, accused the goalkeeper trainer coach of incompetence and bias.

The Ghana FA and technical team made efforts to have the Norwegian-born Ghanaian to rescind his decision in order to make to the Nations Cup which the team went all the way to the finals before losing out on the trophy to Ivory Coast on penalties last Sunday. He did not budge.

“I'm not sure what I want to do right now in terms of the national team,” Kwarasey said.

“Hopefully, we can solve our little situation there and I can continue to play international games again because it's my country and I want to represent my country.”

New coach Avram Grant has said his doors are still open to any player who proves his worth and is committed to the national team course.
