Ghana’s preparations for the crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Zambia have been dealt a big blow after Adam Kwarasey was withdrawn from the squad today.
The Norwegian based goalkeeper suffered a groin injury while playing for his club over the weekend.
An MRI scan examination by the Black Stars medical team on Tuesday morning revealed the 24-year-old will not available on Friday.
"We conducted some tests on Adam's groin this morning but unfortunately it did not look good. He will not be able to play on Friday," Dr Baba Adam, the Black Stars medical officer told Ghanafa.org.
Meanwhile, Ebusua Dwarfs’ Foli Adade who is the first choice with the local Black Stars has been called up as replacement for Kwarasey.
The other goalkeepers in camp are Fatau Dauda and Brimah Razak.
