AS GFA Boss Charge on Journalist and snubs snacks
The Chairman of Ghana Football Association Kwasi Nyantakyi together with his lieutenants from Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association led by the chairman Augustine Asante brought shame and humiliation to the people of Brong Ahafo during the FA president’s historic Meet The People Tour which took place in Sunyani .
The meeting which targeted stakeholders from premier clubs, division one, Division two, Division three and colts clubs as well as women football and the media was nothing but shame and pure insult to Brong Ahafo’s pride. The meeting which started 4pm instead of 2pm at the Twene Amanfo Senior High School hall which at the time the meeting got into session was untidy ,dusty and eye saw saw participants fighting over the few students desks available whilst others squatted for over two hours the meeting lasted.
The shame reached its apex when hot sachets of water were given to the participants but the FA president and his entourage took chilled Voltic mineral water. Later common meat pie which is sold along side fan milk wrapped in ordinary polythene plus a bottle of mineral was presented to GFA President Kwasi Nyantakyi which he gave a cat look and then pushed aside to signify his dissatisfaction. To add insults to injury each pressman was given GH¢ 5.00 which those who care about their dignity refused. The questions everybody is asking is :What does Nyantakyi and his Asante take Brong Ahafo people for? Why Twene Amanfo and not Eusbett Conference Hall or De Jet Hotel ? Why hot sachets of water for the participants but Voltic for Nyantakyi? Where will Kotoko, Faisal , Sam Timmer, Joe Lakkah and co be hosted during Nyantakyi’s Ashanti Regional Tour? Amass hall or OKESS hall? Where will Hearts, Liberty , Odiasempa, Swanzy and Abatey be hosted in Accra ? Accra Girls hall or Pope John’s hall? Brong Ahafo deserves equal treatment . Nyantakyi describing a question asked by sports presenter Raymond Yeboah when he wanted to know whether the tour is a campaign tour as that which can only come from narrowed and fickle minded person was highly unfortunate and summed how successful the FA president's visit was .
