Former Hearts of Oak manager Eyal Lachman has admitted leaving the club after just one season was a mistake.

The Israeli trainer was in charge of the Phobians during the 2008/2009 campaign.

“I left to Israel because the Federation called me to be the U21 coach but I ended signing for a club in the Israel Premier League”

“All the time I feel maybe it was a mistake not to have stayed at Hearts and prove that the people who trusted me and believed in me and brought me here were right that I was one of the best coaches,” he said in an interview with FootballMadeInGhana.com

Asked if he would accept an opportunity to return to the club in future, he said: “I think about this possibility all the time and I feel that I must do it”

Lachman made his name in the Israeli league by leading the country’s poorest club, Hapoel Bnei Sakhnin, to a Uefa Cup place in 2004.
