MLS based Ghana’s attacking prodigy, Kojo Poku has publicly commended the impact of Frank Lampard and Andre Pirlo on his development as a player.
The talented Ghanaian has been hijacking headlines across the MLS with outstanding individual performances despite the array of stars for his NYFC side. The 23 year old attacking midfielder lauded the impact of the game’s finest midfielders in his young career so far.
According to him, “Frank Lampard, Andre Pirlo and David Villa have all pushed me to become a better player. They give me confidence to play the game freely and that has helped me a lot. They allow me to express myself with confidence on the field of play.
“Playing with David Villa upfront is a dream to me and a blessing as well. I continue to learn from them every day at the training ground and hope to be given a chance of representing my country one day.
“It is my hope for NYC to qualify for the play offs at the end of the season. The MLS is a very competitive league and every match is a battle now. Adding goals and assists will always be better when your team is winning as well”.
