Mr. Chadrawy, an avowed football fun made the call when he received trophies won by the company’s second division side, Honeymoon Stars FC from the technical team in Kumasi.

Led by the Deputy Chief Accountant, Mr. Vincent Akutsah who doubles as the Team Manager, the Head coach, ASK Doe and Goalkeeper’s Trainer, Francis Oppong, the technical team presented trophies won from a number of corporate games in the Ashanti region to the Manager.

They include the Ashanti Olympic Games, the Luv FM Invitational tournament and the Boss FM Republic Day Invitational tournaments, Kyirapatre Annual Gala trophies amongst others”.

“There is more ahead of you in the frantic efforts by the team to qualify to the premiership n the next few years”. He charged.

“The company is poised to assist the team to deliver, it’s therefore your responsibility to map up the required plans to ensure the club achieves more laurels” he assured.

“The commitment of the company to seeing the team, and therefore Ghana football thrive is summed up in our sponsorship of Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC, Asokwa Deportivo and the Senior National team, the Black Stars among other sporting institutions and events”. He reassured.

Meanwhile Honeymoon Stars FC lies second on the log from the first round of the Ashanti Regional Division Two League.

Team Manager Mr. Akutsah revealed that even though the team went through some difficulties as a young team, the first round results are encouraging.

“We will build on the experiences from the first round, better our lot in the second round to ensure we progress towards qualification to the Division one league next season”. He said.

According to him, Honeymoon Stars FC started the season very well by recording an away win against Kaaseman FC by 2-0 before accounting for Amansie Wonders by 1 goal to nil at home in the second game.

The team settled for a pulsating one all draw against Depot Hawk FC in its third game and won one nil against Crystal Palace at home in its 4th game.

Honeymoon Stars FC lost its 5th game away to Adehyee Stars FC but recovered to pip AG Stars FC at home in the 6th game.

Amazingly Honeymoon Stars FC was walloped 4 nil by Bosomtwe Stars in its 7th and final game of the first round of the league.

Mr. Akutsah said even though the results from last game was shocking, the team did well overall.

“Winning all home games, drawing two away and losing one can’t be said to be a bad performance for a young and quiet inexperience team like Honeymoon FC”. He said.

Assuring that, “the expectations of management at seeing the club qualify to the Division one league next season is well on course and we hope not to disappoint”.
