Accra, Nov. 24, GNA - The Chief Executive Officer of King Faisal FC, Vincent Sowah Odotei has said that winning the 2010/11 Premier League is the prime target of the Club, despite their slow start in the competition. Currently placed at the ninth position with 17 points, Sowah Odotei said the gap might be that wide but it is not beyond the reach of his side. Speaking to the GNA Sports in Accra, Sowah Odotei said King Faisal is a rejuvenated side and motivated enough to win the remaining matches in the competition to make their target of the league title a reality. Sowah Odotei said it is too early for anyone to name a particular club for the league, because there are over 18 more matches to go, insisting that his side will catch up with the leaders soon.

Commenting on the sudden rise of the Club from the relegation zone to the ninth position, Sowah Odotei indicated that the change in the technical direction of the club is the major reason behind the rise in form. According to the CEO, there was no support from the playing body for the exited Croatian coach and this affected the performance of the team in the competition, hence the streak of losses at the start of the league. Sowah Odotei said the appointment of Henry Wellington as the head coach of the Club has been opportune as it has helped to transform the playing body leading with the excellent performance of the team in the competition.

"We now have a coach who enjoys a perfect understanding from the players and they are also ready to fight for him and the Club hence our sudden rise". The CEO indicated.

Sowah Odotei said management was bent on sustaining the momentum in the League and will strive to record the best results in the competition. Faisal at the start of the season were wallowing in the relegation zone until their recent rise and form that seem to have peaked at the right time.

The Kumasi based club has recorded four wins and a draw in the last five matches of the League.
