Leicester City contact Essien

Leicester City coach Nigel Pearson is reported to have contacted Michael Essien over a summer return to the Premier League.

According to reports in the British tabloids, Pearson is very much interested in a move for the 32-year-old who left Chelsea to join AC Milan in January 2013. Essien becomes a free agent at the end of the Serie-A season.

He has however been offered a lucrative deal to join Greek giants Panathinaikos.

Pearson however looks to lure the experienced midfielder back to the Premier League with a chance to guide budding talents coming through the Leicester ranks.
