Leicester City in talks with Schlupp over improved new contract

Leicester City are in talks with Jeff Schlupp over a new contract, the Mercury understands.

The club are in negotiations with the Ghana international over an improved deal after a promising first season in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old made 34 appearances last season, scoring four goals, as he showed his versatility playing in a variety of different roles down City's left-hand side.

His performances earned him the Young Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year awards at City's end of season dinner.
