The Executive Council
Ghana Football Association
Accra-Ghana
May 24th, 2005.

Mr. Chairman,

Letter of Apology

We the concerned supporters of the National Team, the Black Stars in USA and Europe, write on behalf Samuel Osei Kuffour to convey his unqualified apologies to first and foremost the good people of Ghana, The GFA and the Coach of the Black Stars Mr. Ratomir Djukovic.

In the supreme interest of Ghana Football and the Black Stars in particular, we deem it fit to apologize for the "row" that occurred between Sammy Kuffour and the National Team Manager, Mr. Djukovic, just before the Ghana-Congo 2006 World Cup Qualifier in Kinshasa in March. To our best understanding, a minor miscommunication on both ends caused this unnecessary problem which shouldn?t have happened had the media not been the chosen channel of communication by Sammy.

We believe that the media blew this minor misunderstanding out of proportion, which is damaging the very fabric of our well-knit Black Star family, and has set the experienced Deputy Skipper against our awesome Coach- all in their efforts to derail our chances of making it to the World Cup next year.

It is our sincere belief that our apology on his behalf will be accepted by the Coach and the GFA and that Kuffour will be recalled to join the Black Stars in the supreme interest of the nation, during this crucial moment when we need all hands on deck to secure the maximum points and ensure our World Cup Qualification dream materializes, come next year. For we believe this is a minor issue, which can be easily resolved amicably through the higher offices of the GFA and the Black Star Management Committee, together with our honorable Coach.

We recommend that in future, measures like a boycott/"blackout" be imposed by the Black Stars on any outfit; media or otherwise, that publishes or airs incensing stories that sets up players against the Coach and breach team morale and confidence- as adopted by Italian Champions Juventus recently, in the run up to their Serie A Championship win in Italy this month- in order to forestall any future occurrence of a similar incident.

Thank you, for accepting this sincere apology of ours on his behalf in good faith.
