Emmanuel Boateng’s move to Dalian Yifang is on the verge of collapse if the Chinese Super League side fail to pay his full €11 million transfer fee in cash, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The Ghana international has passed a medical but reverted to the La Liga club for training until his situation is sorted out.
"Our guarantee is that either they pay cash or there will be no transaction," Levante president Quico Catalán revealed.
"The normal thing is that it can be closed in the next hours or tomorrow."
But in China, for all football transfers above 7 million euros, clubs are taxed 100%.
This collapsed the club’s move for Napoli captain Hamsik after Dalian Yifang failed to guarantee the payment terms.
Levante paid €2.9 million to sign Boateng from Portuguese side Moreirense in 2017.
