It has been decided that the North wing of the Accra Sports Stadium, popularly called "Ade Coker"stand, where the May 9th disaster occured will remain closed during Sunday’s World Cup qualifier against Sudan. The decision was taken at a meeting of the stadium security coordinating committee today.
JOY FM enquiries indicate that only a little of twenty thousand tickets will be printed for the match.
The Ade Coker has a capacity of over nine thousand. The institutional limitation to the number of people who can watch the crucial match, is however not a strong reason for the match to be shown live on television.
Deputy General Secretary of the GFA Mr. Ampem Darko says adequate security arrangements have been made for the match.
Meanwhile the Sudanese national are expected to arrive in the country today.
