The striking force of Nti-Boakye and Tanko Mohammed were, however, not up to the task to covert the various chances that came their way as they were given equal challenge by Faisal's defensive network pivoted around Issah Yakubu, Shadrach Dodzi, Ransford Kwakye and Kwadjo Boateng. Faisal on a few occasions attempted to find the winner, but they also failed to break down the Lions defence.
Lions, but for the numerous near misses could have ended up with the three maximum points on a day they dominated play and had to contend with split decision.
