Local Black Stars beat Kotoko in a friendly match

Kumasi, April 10, GNA - The Local component of the senior national team, the Black Stars on Wednesday beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko 2-1 in a friendly match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. The match formed part of preparations being made by the local side ahead of their second leg Africa Nations' Championship match against Niger on Sunday.

Kumasi, April 10, GNA - The Local component of the senior national team, the Black Stars on Wednesday beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko 2-1 in a friendly match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. The match formed part of preparations being made by the local side ahead of their second leg Africa Nations' Championship match against Niger on Sunday. Osei Banahene scored the first goal for the Stars in the 81st minute when he converted a spot kick after Erick Bekoe was been brought down in the box. Kotoko equalized in the 87th minute through Eric Opoku who connected home an in-swinger from George Asare. Determined to win the game, the Stars stepped up their game and probed for the match winner which came on the stroke of time through Osei Banahene.
