MTN FA Cup
The MTN FA Cup Committee are expected to confirm the venue for this year’s grand finale at a press soiree next Tuesday.
The venue for the final between Asante Kotoko and Medeama is yet to be decided following an amendment to the rules governing the competition.
The Accra Sports Stadium used to be the mandatory venue for the finals.
But the committee have been empowered to make changes to the venue of the finals if deemed fit.
Reports suggests the Essipong and Kumasi Sport Stadium are the two contesting venues for the finals.
But member of the FA Cup Committee Kofi Poku says a definitive decision will be made by August 11 when they host a press soiree in Accra.
“We are still in consultations but by August 11 when we have the Press Soiree, we will announce all arrangements to the media,” he said.
Asante Kotoko will be playing this year’s final against Medeama as they attempt to retain their FA Cup crown.
