Maha Ayew, wife of Ghana legend Abedi Pele, has been handed an indefinite ban from any football activity in Ghana for seeking redress of matters of the game in a law court.

Maha , a director and shareholder of Nania Football Club, took the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to court over the club's ban for alleged match fixing which resulted in the congress giving her the life ban.

Congress, the highest decision body of the GFA at its Ordinary session took the decision, that also banned clubs Zaytuna United and Tudu Mighty Jets.

The decision ensures that the club and Mrs Ayew forfeits he membership of the FA.

Meanwhile the Football Association is awaiting a report from its legal advisors to take a decision on Nania FC whose Director, Maha filed the writ.

The decision is largely expected to affect the Division One League as Mighty Jets and Nania were to be re-admitted automatically after serving a year's ban.
